Why Choose Powder Coating / Ceramics

The result of choosing a powder coated product is that it will have the most attractive, durable, high-quality, long lasting finish available. Powder Coating last for years depending on environment but is sure to save you money in labor and attractiveness in the long run.

STRONGER, BETTER

Powder coatings are based on polymer resin systems, combined with curatives, pigments, leveling agents, flow modifiers, and other additives. These ingredients are melt mixed, cooled, and ground into a uniform powder similar to baking flour. A process called electrostatic spray deposition (ESD) is used to achieve the application of the powder coating to a metal substrate. This application method uses a spray gun, which applies an electrostatic charge to the powder particles, which are then attracted to the grounded part. After application of the powder coating, the parts enter a curing oven where, with the addition of heat, the coating chemically reacts to produce long molecular chains, resulting in high cross-link density. These molecular chains are very resistant to breakdown. Powder coatings are easy to use, environmentally friendly, cost effective, and tough!

High Temp Ceramics

High temp ceramic coatings are the unrivaled leader in high temperature thin film performance coatings, capable of temperature up to 1800F, providing excellent chemical resistance, durability and aesthetics. The foundation is a unique inorganic ceramic technology that imparts both high temperature performance and excellent physical stability. Due to the inorganic chemistry, ceramic coatings are 100% UV Stable and will not fade.

GREENER

Powder Coating and Ceramic Coating Minimize your environmental footprint: Powder coating releases less pollutants into the atmosphere, reduces exhaust air, and reduces material usage. Minimal waste is accumulated and disposal is performed easily, economically, and safely.

About Us...Mississippi Powder Coating

Starting as a small tool manufacturerer in 1956, Ray Griffith invented and produced a hand operated pecan gatherer sold in all 13 pecan producing states: www.raygriffithpecangatherer.com. In 1994, his son Harry Griffith built the powder coating facility to paint the company's wear part. The powder division is now the main stay of the company operating an open shop, serving all markets. Our plant facility has complete material handling, welding and fabrication, and a Industrial stripping and powder coat equipment a sixteen foot oven.
